Host Triage is the based-learning module: a timed Open Cyber Range scenario where first-year cyber students practice triage judgment by producing an ordered host list, an evidence note, and a handoff sentence. The LXD project management environment is a Trello board that keeps Scenario 1 build work visible (brief, lab stub, workbook, Canvas drop, rubric, pair review) and adds a community outreach list so learners practice handoff language with an audience outside the lab section. I used a Custom GPT with hard rules (no rewriting success criteria, no spoilers, paste-ready cards) to draft both outlines, then edited them so the human lock on the three artifacts stayed intact.

Checklist products

The Word artifacts for this midterm (Custom GPT instructions, LLM prompts, PM outline, based-learning module outline, and exploratory tools list) are shared as individual Google Drive files with my Canvas midterm discussion post, same pattern as the rest of the class. How I got here

The first Custom GPT pass tried to add extra soft-skill goals. I cut those. Triage judgment is the goal; coaching and community practice support it. The PM board stayed Trello-first because the card metaphor matches how I already track OCR lab work. Asana stays on the tools list as the alternate if a partner team already lives there. The community card is intentionally small: pick an audience, draft a short handoff brief, track the reply. Scenario 1 does not wait on an external calendar.
